Chess Puzzles: World Champions App Reviews

I just got this today and while Ive only solved about 15, I can already give this 5-stars. Very nice user interface, one of the cleanest looking chess sets on the iphone. The puzzles are great, some were very challenging for me as a 1100 player (and Im only on 2 move mate, Im sure 4 move+ is going to be insanity). My end game is pretty rough, I have trouble seeing mates, if this is you, you need this app. It will teach you different mates and Im confident with practice you will recognize them in your games and help defend against a sudden check mate. This program gives you so much respect for these players and theres something cool about seeing the problems you face were historic games, not computer generated scenerios. The price is a steal at 99cents. I will probably buy the other chess puzzles this author has. 645 puzzles in total.

Plenty of tactical puzzles taken from real games. Its been a pleasure to work through this app and I highly recommend it.

Great way to kill time. Tons of puzzles, great information. They clearly put a lot of effort into this :)

Great app. Would be even better with some commentary on the strategy and how to look at the table.

No problem with this APP, except the chess problems themselves. Some easy ones, and some real S.O.B.s. Great to see so many hidden or double check endings. Havent tried the 3 moves to mate or up yet.

If you want to learn how little you know about finishing off your opponent get this app. Not all puzzles are difficult but some had me in knots for hours.

It helps make the commute to work feel shorter.

Great game ! Hundreds of puzzles! Even the mate in two can sometimes be challenging. Love the mate in 3 and all the mate in 4,5,6 to come looks great too. If you love chess, Do not hesitate to get this !!!

Good collection of chess puzzles. I enjoy them for few years.

This is a great collection of exercises on the tactical side of chess. They are organized staring with mate in two, then three, four, and so on. You can skip around as you like and Im currently at the mate is five section. Theres still one mate in four that stumps me though. I love that the computer will play any variation, so you can learn why "your" idea doesnt work. Puzzle hero, another great collection, doesnt do this. I recommend both. Thanks for this great piece of solid work!

I am fond of the end game and love solving using two moves check mating black, as encountered I mane historic games.

Very entertaining and informative. The aspect of playing along with the masters gives an added dimension.
